MESSAGE FROM THE YANG DI-PERTUAN NEGARA (Assents to Bills passed)

Mr Speaker: I have received a message from His Excellency the Yang di-Pertuan Negara dated the 17th October, 1959, informing me that, in accordance with the provisions of section 55 (1) of the Singapore (Constitution) Order in Council, 1958, His Excellency had that day assented to the following Bills:-

(i) Preservation of Public Security (Amendment) Bill;

(ii) Seamen's Registry Board (Amendment) Bill;

(iii) Common Gaming Houses (Amendment) Bill;

(iv) Registration of Persons (Amendment) Bill;

(v) Minor Offences (Amendment No. 2) Bill.
