MESSAGE FROM THE YANG DI-PERTUAN NEGARA (Assents to Bills passed)

Mr Speaker: I have received a message from His Excellency the Yang di-Pertuan Negara dated 25th January, 1960, informing me that, in accordance with the provisions of section 55 (1) of the Singapore (Constitution) Order in Council, 1958, His Excellency had that day assented to the following Bills:-

(ii) Interpretation and General Clauses (Amendment) Bill;

(iii) Merchant Shipping (Amendment) Bill;

(iv) Control of Rent (Amendment) Bill;

( v) Notaries Public Bill;

(vi) Moneylenders (Amendment) Bill;

(vii) Defamation Bill;

(viii) Road Vehicles (Special Powers) Bill;

(ix) Offences relating to Vehicles Bill;

(x) Second-hand Dealers (Amendment) Bill;

(xi) Printing Presses (Amendment) Bill.
