The Prime Minister (Mr Lee Kuan Yew): Mr Speaker, Sir, I have no knowledge of any information as to storing of nuclear bombs and the erection of rocket sites within the State of Singapore. As Members are aware, defence and external affairs are matters reserved to the British Government under our Constitution, and so it will continue to be if the Communists' anti-colonial struggle through the Barisan Sosialis for full internal self-government without the Internal Security Council were to be accepted by this House. However, after merger, defence and external affairs will be in the hands of the Government of the Federation of Malaysia, and the elected government of the people of Malaysia can decide what is in the best defence interests of Malaysia.
