The following Question for Oral Answer stood on the Order Paper of 29th January, 1962:-

Mr David Marshall: To ask the Minister for Finance whether he would (a) name the Members of the Committee investigating the question of equal pay for women, and (b) indicate when the Committee commenced investigations and when it anticipates finalising its report.".

The Member for Anson (Mr David Marshall) not being present to ask the question, the following answer was supplied on 14th March, 1962, pursuant to Standing Order No. 20 (2) :-

"(a) The Committee consisted of the Minister for Finance (Chairman), the Minister for Health and Law and the Minister for National Development.

(b) The Committee has reported to the Cabinet on the basis of which the Minister for Finance has replied to the Chairman of P.A.P. Women's League the text of which has been made public.".
