LAW REVISION COMMITTEE

Mr David Marshall asked the Minister for Health and Law what progress has been made on the suggestion for establishing a Law Revision Committee.

Mr K. M. Byrne: The Government has decided in response to the request of the Singapore Bar Committee to set u-p a Law Revision Committee composed of persons nominated by the Chief Justice, myself, the State Advocate-General, the Singapore Bar Committee and the Law Faculty of the University of Singapore. The State Advocate-General has already written to ask for nominations for this Committee.
