Mr Ng Kah Ting asked the Minister of Defence whether and when a Police Station will be built in the Punggol Constituency.

The Minister of State of Defence (Mr Wee Toon Boon) (for the Minister of Defence): Mr Speaker, Sir, there are no immediate plans for a police station in the Punggol Constituency which is serviced by the Paya Lebar Police Station. However, a site for a police post at 9 m.s. Punggol Road close to the Government Health Clinic has been obtained and it is expected this post will be in operation by mid-1966.
