Inche Mohd. Ariff Bin Suradi asked the Minister for Law and National Development whether preference will be given to applications from public companies to undertake projects in the Golden Mile scheme.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for National Development (Mr Ho Cheng Choon) (for the Minister for Law and National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, in the public tender system, there is no room for preference to be given to any one group or category of tenderers. Accordingly, tenders from public companies will be considered on the same footing as tenders from private companies and individuals.
