HOUSE TO HOUSE AND STREET COLLECTIONS (Particulars of licences)

Mr Ch'ng Jit Koon asked the Minister for Defence (a) how many licences were issued between the 1st January, 1968, and the latest convenient date by the Commissioner of Police under section 4 of the House to House and Street Collections Ordinance (Cap. 220); and (b) how many such licences were issued to advertising agencies or the employees of advertising agencies.

Mr Lim Kim San: Mr Speaker, Sir, from the 1st of January to 15th July, 1968, a total of 44 licences were issued under the House to House and Street Collections Ordinance, but no such licences were issued to advertising agencies or the employees of advertising agencies.
