Mr J. F. Conceicao asked the Minister for Health what progress has been made by the Committee on Medical Specialisation; when he expects to receive its report, and if its report will be presented to this House.
Mr Chua Sian Chin: Mr Speaker, Sir, the Committee on Medical Specialisation is a Committee which was appointed by me in November 1969.
The report was completed and, as you know, submitted to me on 27th October, 1970. I am at the moment studying the report which I can say is quite comprehensive.
The usual course of events following the submission of such a report is for Government to consider the recommendations, following which the report may be made public. It is not, however, proposed to present the report to Parliament.
