The Minister for Communications (Mr Yong Nyuk Lin): Mr Speaker, Sir, may I seek your consent, and the general assent of hon. Members, to move a motion for the earlier rising of Parliament today? I propose to move that the adjournment be taken at the conclusion of the consideration of Head 0706 today.

Mr Speaker: I give my consent. Do I have the general assent of Members for the motion to be moved by the Minister, and the Question thereon proposed?

Hon. Members indicated assent.

Resolved,

"That, notwithstanding the Standing Orders, the adjournment today be moved immediately after the conclusion of the consideration of Head 0706.". - [Mr Yong Nyuk Lin].
