Mr Ho See Beng asked the Minister for Law and National Development whether there are plans to build any market/hawker centre in the area earmarked for urban renewal in the Bras Basah Constituency.

Mr E. W. Barker: Mr Speaker, Sir, a cooked food and hawker centre has been incorporated in the redevelopment plan for the Bras Basah Constituency, and this plan will be implemented by the Housing and Development Board. It is sited near the junction of Beach Road, Middle Road and North Bridge Road.
