ANG MO KIO NEW TOWN (AVENUES 1, 3 and 6) (Bus-bays and bus shelters)

Mr Yeo Toon Chia asked the Minister for National Development and Communications whether it is proposed to construct bus-bays and bus shelters along Avenues 1, 3 and 6, Ang Mo Kio, and to provide a bus shelter at the temporary bus terminus at Ang Mo Kio New Town.

The Senior Minister of State for National Development (Dr Tan Eng Liang) (for the Minister for National Development and Communications): Sir, there are already six bus-bays and two bus shelters along Avenue 3 and Avenue 6 Ang Mo Kio. In addition, the Public Works Department will be constructing four bus shelters along Avenue 1 and Avenue 3 this year.

The Public Works Department is also looking into the possibility of providing a temporary bus shelter at the temporary bus terminus at Ang Mo Kio New Town.
