Mr J.B. Jeyaretnam asked the Minister for the Environment whether his Ministry will consider making arrangements with the Housing and Development Board to collect the refuse collection fee of $10.00 from stall hawkers in HDB estates, along with licence fees for the stalls collected by the HDB, so as to minimise inconvenience to the stall holders.

Mr Ong Pang Boon: My Ministry had already made arrangements with the Ministry of National Development for HDB to collect the refuse fees for hawkers in HDB estates. This will be implemented soon.
