HOUGANG AVENUE 3 (Request for overhead bridge)

Mr Ng Kah Ting asked the Minister for National Development if he is aware of repeated requests for an overhead bridge across Hougang Avenue 3 (formerly Tampines Way) and when and where it will be constructed.

Mr Lee Yock Suan (for the Minister for National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, the HDB will erect an overhead pedestrian bridge across Hougang Avenue 3, near Block 18. Construction work is scheduled to commence by mid-April 1983, and will be completed by end-August 1983.
