MUHAJIRIN MOSQUE (Construction of open shed)

Mr Liew Kok Pun asked the Minister for National Development (a) what is the latest position of the project to provide an open shed behind the Muhajirin Mosque building in the Boon Teck Constituency; and (b) whether his Ministry can assist in speeding up approval of this project so that the shortage of usable space in the premises of the Mosque can be alleviated.

Mr Lee Yock Suan (for the Minister for National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, the proposal to provide an open shed behind the Muhajirin Mosque building in Boon Teck Constituency was received by my Planning Department on 25th January this year. The proposal has been approved and the applicant was informed on 7th February, 1983.
