Dr Koh Lam Son asked the Minister for National Development whether there is any development plan for the piece of vacant land between Fairway Condominium and Block 45, Telok Blangah Drive and, if there is no immediate plan, whether the land can be temporarily converted into a football field as there is no such facility in Telok Blangah Estate.
Mr Teh Cheang Wan: The vacant land next to Block 45, Telok Blangah Drive, is earmarked for new Housing and Development Board flats. Tenders will be called in the First Quarter of 1986. The land, being undulating and not turfed, is not suitable for use as a temporary football field. Residents are currently playing football in a large field at the junction of Henderson Road Extension and Telok Blangah Way and may continue to do so.
