Dr Lee Siew-Choh (Non-Constituency Member): Mr Speaker, Sir, I rise to speak on a point of order.

Mr Speaker: Yes. What is your point of order?

Dr Lee Siew-Choh: At the sitting of Parliament on the 9th January, you announced that Mr Francis Seow, NCMP, had vacated the seat by reason of his conviction and sentence of a fine of more than $2,000 before the District Court. Mr Seow has appealed ---.

Mr Speaker: Dr Lee, are you rising to discuss Mr Seow's position?

Dr Lee Siew-Choh: No, Sir. I just want you to clarify the situation because this is a question that is of public importance to the people of Singapore, and they would like to know that since he has appealed the sentence, whether he has really vacated the seat.

Mr Speaker: Dr Lee, that is not a point of order. I have made Mr Seow's position very clear already.
