[Mr Speaker in the Chair]

Mr Peh Chin Hua asked the Minister for National Development whether the Housing and Development Board has plans for the erection of side-awnings at Sims Drive Market; and, if so, when the work will begin.

The Minister of State for National Development (Mr Peter Sung) (for the Minister for National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, the HDB has no plans to erect side-awnings at Sims Drive Market. This is because the existing louvres give sufficient protection against the sun and rain.
