Dr Wong Kwei Cheong asked the Minister for National Development what plans have been made for the old, rented Housing and Development Board flats at Race Course Road and Winstedt Drive.

Mr S. Dhanabalan: The rental flats at Race Course Road and Winstedt Drive still show high occupancy rates. There are no immediate relocation or redevelopment plans for the flats. As these flats fall within the Central Area, they will have to give way in the long term to redevelopment. We have to optimise the use of the land in the Central Area.
