Mr Chiam See Tong asked the Prime Minister if he will supply the percentage of votes cast in each electoral constituency for each of the candidates for the Presidential Election.

Mr Goh Chok Tong: Voting for the President is by the whole country, not by electoral divisions. The result is dependent on votes cast for each candidate in all divisions. The percentage of votes cast in each electoral division for each of the candidates is not relevant.
