Mr Low Thia Khiang asked the Minister for Home Affairs whether the police has solved the case of an attempted abduction of two children on 29th April 1997 outside a semi-detached house at Jalan Kayu.

Mr Wong Kan Seng: Extensive investigation into the case was carried out by CID. No efforts will be spared in trying to identify the perpetrators. A photo-fit of one of the culprits has been obtained from the children and has already been published in the newspapers in an appeal for public information. So far, no one has been arrested for the case. CID would continue to work on the case and liaise closely with the complainants.
