COMPLIANCE BY GOVERNMENT-LINKED COMPANIES

Mr Chuang Shaw Peng asked the Minister for National Development whether Government-linked companies have to comply with the rules and regulations set out by various agencies such as the Building Control Division, Urban Redevelopment Authority, Building Structural Branch and others, in the same way as any other private company will have to.

Mr Lim Hng Kiang: Like any other private company, all Government-linked companies are required to comply with the provisions and requirements of the Planning Act, the Building Control Act, and the rules and regulations made under these Acts.
