The Leader of the House (Mr Wong Kan Seng): Sir, my colleagues are very kind to me to wait until 8.06 pm to listen to this last motion.
Sir, I beg to move,
That this Parliament, in accordance with paragraph (1) of Standing Order 96, appoints the following as Members of the Committee of Selection:-
Dr Balaji Sadasivan
Assoc. Prof. Chin Tet Yung
Mdm Halimah Yacob
Dr Lee Boon Yang
Mr Lim Swee Say
Dr Wang Kai Yuen
Mr Wong Kan Seng.
The purpose of this Committee of Selection is to appoint Members to this Committee so that they can appoint Members to the other Sessional Committees.
Sir, I beg to move.
Resolved,
That this Parliament, in accordance with paragraph (1) of Standing Order 96, appoints the following as Members of the Committee of Selection:-
Dr Balaji Sadasivan
Assoc. Prof. Chin Tet Yung
Mdm Halimah Yacob
Dr Lee Boon Yang
Mr Lim Swee Say
Dr Wang Kai Yuen
Mr Wong Kan Seng.
