SUPPLEMENTARY ESTIMATES OF EXPENDITURE FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 1ST APRIL 2003 TO 31ST MARCH 2004:

The Chairman: Supplementary Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year 1st April, 2003 to 31st March, 2004 , contained in Paper Cmd. 2 of 2004.

No notice of amendment has been received.

Question, "That the sums stated for the Heads of Expenditure as shown in page 4 of Paper Cmd. 2 of 2004 stand part of the Supplementary Main Estimates", put and agreed to.

Question, "That the sum of $102,117,340 shall be supplied to the Government under the Heads of Expenditure for the Public Services shown in the Supplementary Main Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year 1st April, 2003 to 31st March, 2004 contained in Paper Cmd. 2 of 2004, put and agreed to.

Resolution to be reported.

Question, "That the sum stated for Head M as shown in page 6 of Paper Cmd. 2 of 2004 stand part of the Supplementary Development Estimates", put and agreed to.

Question, "That the sum of $22,460,000 shall be supplied to the Government under the Head of Expenditure for the Public Services

The Second Minister for Finance (Mr Lim Hng Kiang): Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to report that the Committee of Supply have come to certain resolutions.

First Resolution reported -

"That the sum of $102,117,340 shall be supplied to the Government under the Heads of Expenditure for the Public Services shown in the Supplementary Main Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year 1st April, 2003 to 31st March, 2004 contained in Paper Cmd. 2 of 2004".

Second Resolution reported -

"That the sum of $22,460,000 shall be supplied to the Government under the Head of Expenditure for the Public Services shown in the Supplementary Development Estimates for the financial year 1st April, 2003 to 31st March, 2004, contained in Paper Cmd. 2 of 2004".

Mr Lim Hng Kiang: Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to move, "That Parliament doth agree with the Committee on the said resolutions."
