Mr Chiam See Tong asked the Minister for Transport what percentage of pilots employed by Singapore Airlines (SIA) are foreigners and what is the number of Singaporean pilots whose applications to work for SIA have been rejected in the last two years.

Mr Yeo Cheow Tong: Singapore Airlines is a private company which is also publicly listed. It is not operated by the Ministry of Transport. As such, the Ministry of Transport does not have the information Mr Chiam See Tong is seeking on Singapore Airlines. Mr Chiam may wish to write directly to Singapore Airlines for the information requested.
