FIRST SUPPLEMENTARY ESTIMATES OF EXPENDITURE FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 1ST APRIL 2005 TO 31ST MARCH 2006:

The Chairman: First Supplementary Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year 1st April 2005 to 31st March 2006, contained in Paper Cmd. 2 of 2006.

No notice of amendment has been received. As no notice of amendment has been received, I propose to take Heads D, G, K, O, T, U, V and Z en bloc .

Question, "That the sums stated for the Heads of Expenditure which appear in the Total Supplementary Main Estimates of Expenditure shown in page 6 of Paper Cmd. 2 of 2006 stand part of the First Supplementary Estimates", put and agreed to.

Question, "That the sum of $1,010,880,310 shall be supplied to the Government under the heads of expenditure for the public services shown in the First Supplementary Main Estimates of Expenditure for the Financial Year 1st April 2005 to 31st March 2006 contained in Paper Cmd. 2 of 2006", put and agreed to.

Resolution to be reported.

Question, "That the sum stated for Head C as shown in page 7 of Paper Cmd. 2 of 2006 stand part of the Supplementary Development Estimates", put and agreed to.

Question, "That the sum of $235,000 shall be supplied to the Government under the Head of Expenditure for the Public Services shown in the Supplementary Development Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year 1st April 2005 to 31st March 2006", put and agreed to.

Resolution to be reported.

Thereupon Mr Speaker left the Chair of the Committee and took the Chair of the House.

The Second Minister for Finance (Mr Raymond Lim Siang Keat): Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to report that the Committee of Supply have come to certain resolutions.

First Resolution reported -

"That the sum of $1,010,880,310 shall be supplied to the Government under the heads of expenditure for the public services shown in the First Supplementary Main Estimates of Expenditure for the Financial Year 1st April 2005 to 31st March 2006 contained in Paper Cmd. 2 of 2006".

Second Resolution reported -

"That the sum of $235,000 shall be supplied to the Government under the Head of Expenditure for the Public Services shown in the Supplementary Development Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year 1st April 2005 to 31st March 2006".

Mr Raymond Lim Siang Keat: Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to move, "That Parliament doth agree with the Committee on the said resolutions."
