The Chief Minister: Mr Speaker, Sir, I rise to move the motion standing in my name, namely,
That this Assembly resolves that the Standing Orders Committee, appointed under paragraph (3) of Standing Order 61, do consider and report on such further amendments to the Standing Orders of this Assembly as in the opinion of the Committee appear to be necessary or desirable.
The wording of the motion, Sir, is self-explanatory. The Government has one matter which it would like to refer to the Standing Orders Committee, and you, too, Sir, have one very important matter which you felt should be referred to the Standing Orders Committee. Sir, I beg to move.
Mr W. A. C. Goode: Sir, I rise to second.
Question put, and agreed to.
Resolved,
That this Assembly resolves that the Standing Orders Committee, appointed under paragraph (3) of Standing Order 61, do consider and report on such further amendments to the Standing Orders of this Assembly as in the opinion of the Committee appear to be necessary or desirable.
