DEATH OF A MEMBER

Mr Speaker: Honourable Members will have learnt of the death of the Honourable Mr Ong Piah Teng, a nominated Member of this Assembly. In accordance with the Law, I have duly acquainted His Excellency the Governor of the resultant vacancy in the Assembly.

I desire, on behalf of the House, to record with regret an expression of our sense of the loss we have sustained and our deep sympathies for the relatives of the Honourable Member.
