MESSAGE FROM THE YANG DI-PERTUAN NEGARA (Assents to Bills passed)

Mr Speaker: I have received a message from His Excellency the Yang di-Pertuan Negara dated the 18th August, 1959, informing me that His Excellency, in accordance with the provisions of section 55 (1) of the Singapore (Constitution) Order in Council, 1958, had that day assented to the following Bills:-

(i) Hotels (Amendment) Bill;

(ii) City Council (Invalidation of Proceedings) Bill;

(iii) Cinematograph Films (Amendment) Bill;

(iv) Audit Bill;

(v) Factories (Amendment) Bill;

(vi) Development Loan (Local) Bill;

(vii) Control of Rent (Restriction of Proceedings) Bill.
