Mr Eric Cheong Yuen Chee asked the Minister for Defence whether the Government plans to build a proper police station at the Toa Payoh Housing Estate to replace the present Police Post located on the ground floor of one of the blocks of flats in the Estate.

Mr Lim Kim San: Sir, there is a proposal to build a police station at Toa Payoh for which there is provision in the 1969 Estimates. A 3½ acre site has been selected in Toa Payoh Housing Estate. It has got to be acquired and alt I can say is that this project is still under consideration by my Ministry.
