Mr Ang Nam Piau asked the Minister for Law and National Development if he will consider metalling the inner portion of Vaughan Road, Lorong Patong and Lorong Zaitun and, if so, when the work will commence.
Mr Ho Cheng Choon (for the Minister for Law and National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, the proposal for metalling of Lorong Zaitun is with the Urban and Rural Services Committee for consideration. It is suggested that the other two proposals be likewise referred to the U.R.S.C. which will no doubt give them due consideration.
Mr Ang Nam Piau (Thomson): (In Mandarin): Mr Speaker, Sir, I have already submitted my proposals for the metalling of Vaughan Road and Lorong Patong to the U.R.S.C. Can the Parliamentary Secretary inform the House whether or not these proposals will be approved in the near future?
Mr Ho Cheng Choon: (In Mandarin): Sir, if the Member for Thomson has already submitted his proposals to the U.R.S.C., we will bring them up for discussion at the next meeting.
