Encik Abbas Abu Amin asked the Minister for Finance and Minister for Trade and Industry when the Jurong Town Corporation will develop Pulau Seking and whether ample notice will be given to the residents to resettle.

The Minister of State for Trade and Industry (Dr Wong Kwei Cheong)(for the Minister for Finance and Minister for Trade and Industry): Mr Speaker, Sir, I am answering on behalf of my Minister.

Jurong Town Corporation has no plans to develop Pulau Seking within the next three years. Ample notice will be given to the residents to resettle before the island is developed.
