Mr M.K.A. Jabbar asked the Minister for Social Affairs what is the present position in the building of Al-Amin Masjid at Telok Blangah Way.

Dr Ahmad Mattar: The Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) is working closely with the architects of the Housing and Development Board on the brief for Masjid Al-Amin which will be built at the junction of Telok Blangah Way and Telok Blangah Rise. Once this has been finalised, building plans will be prepared by the HDB architects and submined to the Development and Building Control Division for approval. Tenders for the construction of the mosque will be called by the HDB sometime in 1985.
