COMMITTEE OF SUPPLY (Extension of Hours of Sitting)

Mr Dhanabalan: Mr Speaker, Sir, yesterday, when we were discussing in the Committee of Supply matters relating to Head U, we took a much longer time than was provided for in the Guillotine. In order to compensate for the extra time that we took, may I seek your consent, Sir, and the general assent of Members present, to extend the hours of sitting for today and tomorrow to 6.30 pm.

Mr Speaker: I give my consent. Is it the general assent of Members to extend the hours?

Resolved,

That the resolution of 19th March 1986 extending the hours of sitting of the Committee of Supply on the Main and Development Estimates for FY 1986/87 be varied in so far as it relates to the sittings of 20th and 21st March 1986 by the deletion of 5.30 pm wherever it occurs and substituting therefor 6.30 pm in each case. - [Mr S.
