Encik Abbas Abu Amin asked the Minister for National Development whether there are plans to develop (i) the vacant land between Alexandra Terrace and Alexandra Lane and (ii) the piece of land (from Perak House) next to the Pasir Panjang Community Centre.
The Minister of State for National Development (Dr Lee Boon Yang) (for the Minister for National Development): Mr Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am answering on behalf of my Minister.
Sir, the land at Alexandra Terrace and Alexandra Lane was acquired for the development of the Port of Singapore Authority.
The former Perak House next to the Pasir Panjang Community Centre has been relocated to the former Radin Mas School. The vacated building has since been demolished and the land is in State ownership. There are no plans for development at present.
