NOMINATIONS TO SELECT COMMITTEES

[Mr Speaker in the Chair]

Mr Speaker: I have to inform hon. Members that I have, under Standing Order No. 97, made the following nominations to Select Committees:-

(a) Mr Wong Kan Seng to the Standing Orders Committee in the place of Dr Tan Cheng Bock;

(b) Dr S. Vasoo to the House Committee to fill a vacancy;

(c) Dr Lee Boon Yang to the Public Petitions Committee in the place of Mr Wong Kan Seng; and

(d) Mr Wong Kan Seng to the Committee of Privileges in the place of Mr S. Dhanabalan.

With the withdrawal of Mr S. Dhanabalan from the Committee of Privileges, Prof. S. Jayakumar, whom I had nominated to the Committee in the matter of the complaint by Mr S. Dhanabalan against the Editor, Publisher and Printer of "The Hammer", will cease to serve on the Committee.
