Mr Chiam See Tong: To ask the Minister for the Environment if he will give the commencement date and the expected completion date of the reconstruction of Montgomery Bridge at Serangoon Road.

Dr Ahmad Mattar: Mr Speaker, Sir, the reconstruction of Montgomery Bridge at Serangoon Road commenced in October 1987 and is expected to complete by July 1989.
