The Leader of the House (Mr Wong Kan Seng): Mr Speaker, Sir, I see that there is a continuing interest in this item and I also note that there are amendments to be made by a Member on this item. We still have another five more items on the Order Paper to go, in addition to a supplementary item which has come in late. In view of this, and since we do not have much time we ought to complete as much of the business as possible, I therefore propose that we end at item 4 today. We will come back tomorrow for the remaining items.
I, therefore, beg to move,
That the proceedings on the item under discussion and on items 3 and 4 on the Order Paper today be exempted at this day's sitting from the provisions of Standing Order No. 1.
Question put, and agreed to.
Resolved,
That the proceedings on the item under discussion and on items 3 and 4 on the Order Paper today be exempted at this day's sitting from the provisions of Standing Order No. 1. - [Mr Wong Kan Seng].
