CENTRAL PROVIDENT FUND (Withdrawal age at 55 years)

Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon asked the Minister for Labour if he will confirm that the extension of the retirement age will not affect the Central Provident Fund withdrawal age of 55 years.

The Minister for Labour (Dr Lee Boon Yang): Mr Speaker, Sir, my Ministry has no intention to change the present CPF withdrawal age of 55 years in conjunction with the raising of the retirement age.
