SECONDARY SCHOOL IN SIMEI ESTATE

Mr Teo Chong Tee asked the Minister for Education whether a secondary school will be built in Simei Estate.

Mr Lee Yock Suan: Mr Speaker, Sir, there is a reserved secondary school site in Simei Estate. However, there are no plans to develop it immediately as there are sufficient school places for pupils in the Simei Estate area. My Ministry will monitor the demand for secondary school places in the area and initiate action to develop a school on the reserved site when it is needed.
