FLOODING AT YISHUN BUS INTERCHANGE

Mr Cheo Chai Chen asked the Minister for Communications whether he is aware that during heavy rains, the Yishun Bus Interchange is flooded and what remedial action is being taken by his Ministry.

Mr Mah Bow Tan: Improvement works to provide covered linkway, awnings and gutter around Yishun Bus Interchange are in progress. The project, when completed in the third quarter of 1995, will solve the flooding problem at the passenger concourse and provide better shelter for bus passengers during inclement weather.
