Mr Cheo Chai Chen asked the Minister for Communications when will the Land Transport Authority construct a shelter with lights for the Yishun MRT taxi station such as that constructed for the Khatib MRT taxi station.

Mr Mah Bow Tan: The Land Transport Authority has an on-going programme to build covered linkways and other commuter facilities at major transport interchanges. This is being implemented in stages. There are no plans to provide such facilities at Yishun MRT taxi station in the current programme.
