Dr Kanwaljit Soin asked the Minister for Home Affairs what is the number of documented cases of children who have died or suffered serious injuries from abuse or neglect from 1991 to 1995.

Mr Wong Kan Seng: There has been a total of 5 documented cases of children who died and 45 cases of children who suffered serious injuries from abuse or neglect between January 1993 and June 1996. No statistics are available prior to January 1993.
