Mr Mah Bow Tan: The Member of Parliament is referring to blocks in Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC built under two building contracts, which were completed between 2001 and 2002. The window ledges in these blocks are 700 mm wide and the hooks for hanging the State Flag are located at the end of the ledge. Due to the location of the hooks, some residents may have encountered difficulties hanging the State Flag.

Upon the Member's request, HDB has looked into possible solutions. To make the hooks more accessible to residents in these blocks, HDB has proposed to relocate the hooks onto the window ledge itself. HDB will seek the views of the MP before finalising its proposal.
