Mr Chiam See Tong asked the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Law as regards en bloc sales of private properties, what is the percentage of Singaporeans who have gained from en bloc sales when compared to permanent residents and foreigners, for the years 2000 to September 2006.

Prof. Jayakumar: Based on the developments that have undergone en bloc sales from the year 2000 to October 2006, 72.3% of owners are Singaporeans, 15.4% are permanent residents and foreigners, and 10.9% are companies.
