Mr Lee Kuan Yew asked the Attorney-General when he proposes to complete the revised edition of the Laws of Singapore.
Mr E. J. Davies: Mr Speaker, Sir, the preparation of the revised edition of ordinances is complete as far as the Commissioners and the Law Officers are concerned. It is now only a matter of printing and binding.
The first volume has already been bound, and I have already shown it to my hon. Friend. I anticipate that the remaining seven volumes will follow in rapid succession.
Mr Lee Kuan Yew: May I ask the hon. Gentleman for a definition of "rapid succession"?
Mr Davies: I suggest that my hon. Friend look up the Oxford Dictionary!
