Mr M. P. D. Nair asked the Minister for Commerce and Industry whether the Government has considered the Report of the Local Produce Working Committee dated 2nd June, 1951; and whether action is contemplated to implement any of its recommendations.

Mr D. S. Marshall: The Government has considered the report on "Food Supplies for Singapore" by the Local Produce Working Committee dated 2nd June, 1951, and action has already been taken on many of its recommendations.

The Questioner can obtain full information from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is invited to consult them if he so wishes.
