MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR (Governor's Assent to Bills passed)

[Mr Speaker in the Chair]

Mr Speaker: I have received a message from His Excellency the Governor dated 9th November, 1956, informing me that His Excellency has, in accordance with the provisions of Section 62 (2) of the Singapore Colony Order in Council, 1955, assented to the following Bills:

(i) Tan Tock Seng's Hospital (Amendment) Bill;

(ii) Stamp (Amendment) Bill;

(iii) Betting and Sweepstake Duties (Amendment) Bill.
