DETENTION OF MEMBER

Mr Speaker: I have to announce to Honourable Members that on the 13th day of November, 1956, I received a communication from the Honourable the Chief Secretary informing me that an Order has been made under the provisions of section 3 of the Preservation of Public Security Ordinance, 1955, for the detention for a period of two years from 10th November, 1956, of the Honourable Member for Bukit Timah (Mr Lim Ching Siong).
