Mr Lee Choon Eng asked the Minister for Labour and Welfare -

(a) whether the Seamen's Council of Action is a registered organisation; and what are its aims and objects;

(b) whether the Council of Action is a federation of Seamen's Unions; and

(c) who are the President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Council of Action.

Tun Lim Yew Hock: (a), (b) and (c): As the Seamen's Council of Action is not registered under the Trade Unions Ordinance the Ministry of Labour and Welfare is unable to give the required information.
